Diary - 2000
November : Planting the Millennium Oaks
2000 Welsh Oaks were planted to celebrate the Millennium. They are scattered across the site, but the last 300 were simply bundled into holes as the volunteers ran out of time.
August : Rooting around
Bryn Llam-march, Eirwen and Sheila were measured.
Martin showed the volunteers the stream destruction at Cwm Llam-march. This is an example of how hard engineering for reclamation can go wrong.
Allison dug some pits in order to measure the root growth on various trees.
